ABOUT: This collective project explores the concepts of MARGIN — not as a fixed coordinate, but as a continuous transformation without a defined beginning or end. Through a series of shifts and metamorphoses, MARGIN reveals the transition itself as a self-contained, multidimensional state.

Designed with a nonlinear structure, it invites readers to navigate freely, discovering their path. Yet, an underlying movement unfolds—from the body to mind, mind to being, and being to portal. Where this journey ultimately leads remains an open question...

The edition consists of 8 books ("episodes") by eight authors. When combined, they form a whole multifaceted story. Each episode consists of three standard blocks, where the presented themes are explored through

SPACE – Territory or a physical entity, whether it be a body, a cave, or a field.

AGENT – What sets things in motion (a factor, an object that influences something, an active element).

TIME – Temporality and tracking transition through this concept (a reinterpretation of clocks or any system related to the category of time).

The theme of MARGIN is also reflected in the visual language of the almanac. The margin sizes vary from episode to episode, and, as a result, the cover design changes accordingly. The logo for each episode is composed of blocks whose lengths correspond to the margin values, creating a dynamic system.

MY ROLE: I became the art director of our group, managed all the collective decisions, and designed the logo. As well as I was also one of the authors and created a book about the FOREST (in Russian, it also means “Scaffolding)

The FOREST is a collection of ever-green temporal structures that have grown weary out of their current state but will never attain a new one. As a result, they are forced to exist in a haunted form. Lost in time, transition for them is nothing more than a pseudo-facade. They are lost in time, so the transition is just a prop for them. The unfinished buildings, which are shrouded in scaffolding, are frozen in the space between existence and non-existence, just like ghosts

All of the texts & images I used in my episode are generated by Chat GPT or DALL-E to support the hauntological experience of the reader.
