ABOUT: YA+YA is a personal take on a 1990s erotic magazine from Minsk, reimagined as a Posthuman Erotic Magazine. It blends fashion aesthetics with adult media, shifting the focus from traditional erotica to its influence on contemporary culture.

This publication is neither real nor commercial. YA+YA brings together a mix of materials, artworks, and texts from various sources, carefully curated into a cohesive collage narrative. However, the cover story was produced exclusively for this issue, adding a unique perspective to the publication.

Instead of human-to-human intimacy, YA+YA explores desire in a broader sense—through connections with space, objects, and non-human entities. It challenges how we see attraction and redefines eroticism beyond the human perspective.

YA+YA is a student project that I’ve made while studying at HSE but I still love the ideas that I’ve implemented there. For this project, I’ve researched vintage erotic magazines a lot and experimented with typography as well.
